Diabetic alert dogs play an incredible role in helping protect children living with Type 1 Diabetes. These specially trained dogs can detect dangerous changes in blood sugar levels through scent, often before symptoms appear or devices alert.
Beyond their training, these dogs become trusted companions, protectors, and best friends to the children they support.
Each pup below plays an important role in helping their child stay safe while building a lifelong bond of trust, companionship, and protection.

Honey is here to protect her girl Evie while they play outside together, whether it's taking a walk, exploring the yard, or playing in the snow. As a diabetic alert dog, Honey helps watch over Evie while providing an extra layer of safety throughout their daily adventures. When they’re not outside having fun, the two enjoy quiet moments together, snuggling while watching TV or relaxing while Evie reads. Their bond is built on trust, companionship, and the comfort of always having a loyal guardian by Evie’s side.

Teddy enjoys looking out for his owner, Bear. Whether it is a Sunday morning at church or an adventure on the road, these two enjoy spending time together and exploring new places. Teddy is always close by, providing companionship and an extra sense of security wherever they go. Their journey together has already taken them across eight different states, creating many memories along the way. Through every adventure, Teddy remains a loyal guardian and trusted friend to Bear.

Sage loves spending time outside with her girl Amelia, especially when there’s snow on the ground. The snow is their absolute favorite, but they also enjoy playing fetch, running around the yard, and relaxing together after a long day of fun. Sage is always nearby, keeping a watchful eye while Amelia enjoys being a kid. Their bond is full of energy, trust, and companionship, making every day a little brighter for both of them.
