A Community Built by Families Who Understand
T1 Guardians was founded by parents of children living with Type 1 Diabetes who understand the daily challenges firsthand. Managing Type 1 Diabetes requires constant attention, courage, and resilience from both children and their families.
What began as a small group of families supporting one another has grown into a community dedicated to helping children feel safer, stronger, and less alone on their journey.
Through support, shared experiences, and education, T1 Guardians works to connect families and raise awareness about the powerful role diabetic alert dogs can play in protecting children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Why T1 Guardians Exists
Living with Type 1 Diabetes is a constant challenge that affects every part of a child’s life. From monitoring blood sugar levels to navigating everyday activities safely, children with Type 1 Diabetes show incredible strength and resilience.
T1 Guardians exists to support these children and their families by creating a community built on encouragement, understanding, and hope.
Together, we are working to raise awareness, support families, and help children living with Type 1 Diabetes feel confident and protected every day.
Educating Families on Diabetes and Healthy Living
Living with Type 1 Diabetes requires constant awareness, education, and healthy daily habits. T1 Guardians believes that empowering families with knowledge is just as important as providing community support.
Through shared experiences and everyday activities, we help children and families learn about managing diabetes while living full, active lives. From preparing healthy meals to making smart lifestyle choices, education plays a key role in building confidence and independence.
By teaching children how to care for their health while enjoying normal childhood moments, we help families navigate life with Type 1 Diabetes together.
